Students who want to test themselves enter Oklahoma Judo Association and USA Judo tournaments, locally and nationally. Wrestling events start this season.
Dominion is a chartered USA Judo club and a member of the Oklahoma Judo Association, the only OJA club in Canadian County.
That membership is what lets our students enter sanctioned tournaments: OJA events around the state, the Oklahoma Judo State Championships, and USA Judo events nationally. Our students have already stood on the podium at the state championships.
In wrestling, we're finishing USA Wrestling club registration and will compete with the same approach once the season starts.

Coaches want to see safe falls, a few reliable techniques, and good control in practice first.
When your child is ready, a coach will recommend a first event, usually a local OJA tournament.
Sign up for a USA Judo membership and enter the event. We'll help with both.
Dominion coaches are in the corner, and teammates are in the stands.

Over the summer, Dominion hosted high-level wrestling and judo clinics for our students and visitors. More are on the way. Watch Facebook and Instagram for dates.
No. Competition is always optional. Many students never compete, and they get every bit as much coaching.
When a coach thinks your child is ready, they'll recommend a first event, usually a local Oklahoma Judo Association tournament. Your child will need a USA Judo membership to enter sanctioned events, and the coaches will walk you through signing up.
Most local judo tournaments are in the Oklahoma City and Tulsa areas. The Oklahoma Judo Association publishes a yearly calendar, and we post the events our team is attending on Facebook and Instagram.
We're completing our USA Wrestling club registration now and will start entering wrestling events as the season begins, with the same approach as our judo team.
